Typographic Book Covers
This is your final project for Typography One. Your designs should reflect an understanding of all the concepts we have covered this semester and demonstrate your very best typographic skills.

Assignment
Design a series of three typographic book covers. Choose any three books, short stories or fables. Think about what makes them a series. Are all three pieces by the same author? About a similar topic? Created during the same time period? Arrange your series thoughtfully. You should be familiar with the content and have read all three works at least once (in the past is fine). Be prepared to give a brief summary in class.

Your final covers should be expressive and communicative, and of course, typographically sophisticated. Your covers may relate as a visual system by thoughtfully balancing constant and variable qualities, but should not be identical. You may use any typefaces that you choose, as long as they are appropriate to your content. Ask yourself, what makes a good book cover? We will discuss this question as a group during class.
